  1. First, rinse and soak the basmati rice in plenty of water for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, drain the water from the rice and set aside. Now place the inner pot in the instant pot and activate the simmer mode. When the inner pot is hot, add the ghee, butter and add the shah zira along with the cloves, cinnamon sticks, bay leaf and cardamom pods.
